The best way to initiate the tattoo process is to fill out the contact form with your desired tattoo ideas, the design/size/placement & rough size dimensions, the more specific the better. If you have any images please send them through to: ianhilz@hotmail.com

1. Meeting/Design Consultation:

First we will meet at our studio to discuss the design, this is always free of charge and gives us the chance to talk in person. You can bring in the image of the design, or you can tell me verbally, but if you have a reference image close to the idea the consultation will be carried out smoothly. 

In the case of multiple ongoing sessions, if the intervals between sessions are long/delayed, the tattoo will be worked on inconsistently. Once a month is ideal but this can vary of course, so if you are thinking of a large work, please make a careful consideration when making your booking. Please inform if you’re travelling interstate or international and cannot attend regular sessions.

2. Procedure & Design/Drafting:

After the consultation, we will decide the actual start date for the tattoo. At this time, you will need to have a deposit payment to secure a date (bank transfer or cash are the best methods) and ID card with a face photo. 

As soon as the tattoo schedule is decided, the sketch/design will be produced according to the schedule. If you have a relatively simple design or walk-in, it may be possible to do the tattoo on the day if there is space in the my schedule.

All tattoos are custom drawn & specifically designed for the individual customer, the style of tattoos I am interested in creating are reflected in my online portfolio on this website, and my Instagram / Facebook (which is updated on a daily basis), please have a look as this is the style I mainly work in. I don't do replications of tattoos from magazines or the Internet. I can use an idea as a basic platform to develop from. Inspiration can be from a photo, painting, and so on.

WHY I charge HOURLY, NOT flat rates:

• There is less incentive to work hard if the tattoo has been underquoted, Many artists rush to complete in this circumstance.

• And if overquoted, the price is dishonest. Hourly eliminates this potential issue.

• If a tattoo doesn’t require a full day, it’s financially beneficial for clients.

• Many people don’t sit as well as they think they would for a full day, and this can be inefficient for paying clients.

I DO NOT take smoke breaks or phone calls or excessive bathroom breaks, I work heads DOWN doing my best to concentrate the ENTIRE tattoo session, if I have tattooed you, you can confirm this. If YOU need a break or breather, you are of course allowed, whatever you need.

I want to work as fast as I can (without compromising the tattoo quality), a HAPPY client is a return client, and ongoing work is the foundation of Japanese bodysuits.

I understand people take time out of there BUSY schedule so I VALUE the TIME of a Paying client, we all have family’s & busy lives, so I do not want clients to feel as if a tattoo session has been stretched out unnecessarily.

Please Note:

• In this studio, we do not tattoos for those under the age of 18.

• Those who use alcohol or drugs are not allowed. 

• Those who have recently been sunburned may be refused. 

• We will refuse the treatment to those who can not act within the range of public order.

• Please refrain from drinking alcohol the day before the reservation date. 

• Be sure to get enough sleep the day before and have a solid meal on the day. 

• Ink may adhere to your clothes during the tattoo session. 

• Please come in comfortable clothes that are not too tight.
